Originally from Lake County, Illinois, Barbie spent six years studying Zoology, with a minor in Studio Art, before life led her in a new direction. Embracing family life, she moved to Kenosha 13 years ago, where she has since put down deep roots in the community.
Barbie’s academic journey in funeral service began at Worsham College, where she not only honed her skills but also earned distinctions such as the Bruno B. Bak Embalming Award and graduated Magna Cum Laude. Her commitment to excellence in mortuary science is complemented by her CANA certification, ensuring she brings both knowledge and compassion to every family she serves.
At home, Barbie’s life is full of joy and activity, surrounded by her three beloved children and five playful ferrets. Her family, supported by her remarkable Aunt and her parents, is her sanctuary and source of strength. An avid Chicago Bears fan, Barbie’s personal and professional lives are a testament to her dedication, care, and the warm, nurturing presence she provides to both her family and the families at Piasecki Funeral Home.
