Stanley “Stan” E. Timm
February 24, 1939 -
November 14, 2025

US Veteran
If you knew Stanley (“Stan”) Timm, you knew he loved a good joke (especially the nonsensical ones), a good prank, a good book, and a good cup of coffee—always black. Born on February 24, 1939, Stan passed away on Friday, November 14th, 2025, leaving behind a lifetime of humor, curiosity and offbeat charm.
Stan spent years performing magic shows, not because he believed he was the next great Houdini—he’d laugh at the thought—but because he genuinely loved it. Even when a trick didn’t land, his joy did. Watching him have fun was half the show.
As a lifelong learner, books were his home, and he read about everything from Coca-Cola’s history to the lives of 19th-century circus “freak show” performers; people he related to, always feeling a bit left of center himself.
Stan embraced his quirks, laughed loudly (sometimes at the least appropriate moments), and carried a smile that could warm a room without ever seeking the spotlight. An introvert with a welcoming spirit, he made people feel at ease just by being himself.
Come join us in celebrating the magic of Stan’s life during the memorial service followed with full military honors. The service may be viewed via livestream on the following link facebook.com/PiaseckiFuneralHome/live/. A Facebook account is not necessary to watch.

December 7, 2025There is no way to describe how I feel about Stan's passing. He was in pain and he was totally dependent on the people taking care of him at the nursing home, but the hole in my heart and emptiness in my life is staggering. I know he had to go. He was in a bad place. We, our daughters and myself, did all we could to keep him comfortable and improve his quality of life. It just wasn't enough. Nothing could have been. I'm so sorry we couldn't do enough to keep him alive. We just couldn't.
Fortunately, Stan was able to enjoy our visits and the company of others who visited him, took care of him, and lived in the same nursing home. He worked hard to be a bright star in everyone's life. He smiled and laughed as much as possible and his sense of humor never left him. He always had some goofy thing to say or an off beaten comment to make. That was Stan. He NEVER lost his humor. NEVER! And that is what everyone will remember. Thank you, everyone who helped make Stan's life just a bit better!
