Sondra (Nee: Koos) Evenson, beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away at her home, at the age of 76.
She was born August 1, 1942 to the late Albert and Evelyn (Wertz) Koos. Sandy was educated in the schools of Kenosha, graduating from Mary D. Bradford High School in 1960.
On October 27, 1962, she was united in marriage to Robert Evenson at St. John’s Lutheran Church.
Moving to Franklin, WI in 1974, Sandy owned and operated the Stretch & Sew Fabric Store in Greendale, WI with her good friend, Edith Jensen. Sandy closed the store in 1984. She remained active in the community working at Starr Insurance Agency and later at General Casualty Insurance Company.
Sandy was a doting grandmother and loved being with her grandchildren. She loved to travel and cheer them on their many sporting events; especially baseball.
Left to cherish Sandy’s memory is her husband, Bob; her sons, Jeffery Evenson and Mark (Kathy) Evenson; her daughter, Kristen (Jim) Stenseth; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Philip (Carolyn) Evenson and June (Tom) Brand.
Service Info
Funeral Services honoring Sandy’s life will be held on Monday, February 4, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, 3720 39th avenue, Kenosha, WI. Private inurnment will take place in Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Union Grove.
