Scott J. Ward
January 7, 1976 -
December 20, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Scott J. Ward, age 49, who left us peacefully on Saturday, December 20, 2025. Born on January 7, 1976, to Levi Spann and the late Barbara Giles. Scott was a graduate of Bradford High School. He was a beloved son, father, and friend who made a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Scott was a Head Engineer at the Gillmore Fine Arts with Racine Unified School District. He was also a volunteer firefighter for the Town of Somers Fire Department for ten years.
He had many hobbies, but most of all he enjoyed being a member of the Axemen Motorcycle Club, watching the Packers, attending car shows, especially shows that included low-riders and vintage model cars, and participating in the dart league at Puzzle House.
Scott will be lovingly remembered by his son, Jamison Ward; his father, Levi (Betty) Spann; step-father, Brian (Amy) Giles; girlfriend, Aura Polster; siblings, Carolyn (Dan) Bukiewicz, Tracy Spann, Levi III (Karen) Spann, Marie Spann, John Garcia, Nathan Spann, and Shania Spann; mother of Jamison, Stephanie Ward.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Giles.
Scott was the nucleus that brought people together and created connections that will last a lifetime. Those close to him will forever recall the way he lit up every room he entered. His love for his family and friends was palpable, and he took pride in nurturing those relationships, often finding joy in the simple moments spent together.
Scott had a unique ability to listen with empathy and support those around him through life's ups and downs. Whether sharing stories during family gatherings or spending quality time with Jamison, Scott's warmth and generosity will be deeply missed. Whenever Scott knew that a family member or friend was down or having a hard time, he always knew how to make them laugh and brighten their day.
As we say goodbye to Scott, let us find comfort in each other and remember the beautiful memories that we can carry with us forever. He leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will continue to inspire us all. Rest in peace, Scott. You will be dearly missed.
In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances to the family would be appreciated.
