It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Peter Beining, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who passed away on Friday, May 8, 2026, at the age of 82. Born in Marshfield, WI on September 2, 1943, Peter was the son of the late Alvin and Verna (Weister) Beining. He graduated from Columbus High School in 1962 and went on to live a life defined by kindness, dedication, and love for his family and friends.
From 1962-1966, Peter proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, and Vietnam from 1965-1966 demonstrating a strong sense of duty and commitment during an important chapter of his life. He remained extremely proud of his military service throughout his life. Following his military service, he became a valued member of his community, forming lifelong friendships and sharing his warm sense of humor with many.
On June 8, 1968, Peter was united in marriage to the love of his life, Cheryl Senz at First United Methodist Church in Marshfield, WI. Together they built a life filled with love, partnership, and cherished memories.
He was employed as a polisher for Outboard Marine Corporation for 33 years, where he was known for his hard work and dedication. After retirement, Peter worked for Six Flags Great America for 10 years.
In his free time, Peter enjoyed family game nights, fishing, air shows, live music events, traveling and spending time in Montello, WI at their camper and enjoyed many vacations with his family to Florida and Arizona.
Peter is lovingly survived by his wife, Cheryl Beining; his children, Melissa (Gary) Pribyl and Christopher (Renee) Beining; and his beloved grandchildren, Jason (Michelle) Pribyl, Brad (Courtney) Pribyl, Chelsea (Christian Cruz) Beining and Seth Beining; his great granddaughter, Evelyn Pribyl and his sister, Margaret (Jerry) Schommer, who will forever remember the love, guidance, and values he shared with them. He will also be deeply missed by extended family members and many dear friends.
Peter was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin & Verna Beining.

May 12, 2026So sorry to hear about Pete. He was a great guy, always super friendly, and I loved catching up whenever I ran into him. I remember him taking pride in his role as a Cub Scout leader, mentoring us on many projects and various outings. He also worked with my father at OMC, who always spoke highly of him. He'll be missed. My family and I send our condolences.

May 12, 2026I am so sorry Cheryl, Chris and Melissa So.many good times camping and having fun together. Jeff and I always enjoyed seeing Pete at all the music venues during the summer . He will be deeply missed. I wish I could be there on Friday but I just got a new job and have to work. My deepest condolences to the whole family.
