Mary Ellen Frances Streblow, age 91 of Kenosha, passed away at Casa Del Mare on Wednesday, September 9, 2026.

Mary Ellen was born on July 6, 1935, to Harry and Lucille (Keul) Harms.  She attended local schools and was a graduate of Kenosha High School.

On November 7, 1953, Mary Ellen was married to Harold T. (Ted) Streblow at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church.  They met at St. Catherine’s Hospital where Ted was a patient and Mary Ellen was a nurse’s aide.  They celebrated 58 years of marriage, blessed with two wonderful children.  Ted passed away on March 11, 2012.In her younger years, Mary Ellen worked as a hair stylist at a salon in Kenosha.  After her children were older, she returned to school to become a Keypunch Operator and was employed at Snap On Tools, retiring in 1988.Mary Ellen was a member of St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church for many years.  Her greatest loves were her faith, family and friends.

Mary Ellen and Ted enjoyed spending winters in Tucson, AZ.  They were always happy to escape cold Wisconsin winters.  They met many wonderful friends from the states and Canada and stayed in contact for many years.

Mary Ellen enjoyed reading, cooking and the Green Bay Packers.  She will be remembered for her refrigerator pickles, cheesecake, and her fruit and rhubarb jam.  She enjoyed attending all of her grandchildren’s activities and was so proud of them all.

Mary Ellen is survived by her son, Kenneth (Kriss) Streblow, her daughter, Robin (Bill) Bose; her grandchildren, Brian Bose, Kelly (Jeff) Sisson, Erin (Jeff) Johnson and Kurt (Ashlynn) Streblow; her great grandchildren, Abby, Callie, Kennedy, Chase and Kash; her step grandchildren, Bailey, Jamon and Elaina; her brother-in-law, Gene Ruffalo and many nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mary Ellen was preceded in death by her siblings, Harry and Theresa Harms in infancy, Phillip Harms, Lucy Aitken and Gloria Ruffalo.

Mary Ellen’s family would like to thank all the staff at Casa Del Mare for their excellent care and was comfortable in her home there.  The Blue Grotto floor is truly a community that we were honored to be a part of.
