Maria Jose Ribas, age 63, passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at Lawlis Family Hospice-Mequon.
Born in Sao Paulo, Brazil on July 7, 1957, Maria was the daughter of Jose Frota de Almeida and Edla Alves de Moura.
Maria attended school in Brazil and received her bachelor’s degree in journalism from Pontificia Universidade Catolica in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
She moved from Boynton Beach, Florida to Kenosha 5 years ago and was employed as a Caretaker for George Franceschini for 2 years and Florence Fliens for 1 year. Maria was also employed at Crab Tree House.
Maria lived a life full of accomplishments, friendships and acquaintances and will live on in those she came to know. She will be dearly missed by her mother, Edla Alves de Moura; her daughter Stephanie Marien Frota Ribas, her son Fabio Frota Ribas and his wife Cristiane; her grandchildren, Fabio and Gustavo Silva Ribas; her sister Sonia Alves de Moura; her brother Sidney Frota de Almeida, her brother Jose Frota de Almeida, Jr. and his wife Fabíola, and her significant other, Greg Thush and his family.
Maria was preceded in death by her father, Jose Frota de Almeida; her son, Alexandre Frota Ribas and her half-brother, Silvio Alves de Moura.
