July 31, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lois Ann Peterson, who left us peacefully on Friday, July 31, 2026, at the age of 85. She was born in Milwaukee, WI on April 12, 1941, to the late William and Florence (DeCleen) Hermann. Lois was a graduate of Colemen High School. Lois was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose warmth and kindness touched everyone's lives.
On August 12, 1961, she was united in marriage to Ralph Peterson. He preceded her in death on August 27, 2007.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary of Pompeii Catholic Church for over 60 years.
Lois dedicated her life to her family. She enjoyed working in her garden, reading books and walking along the lake with her friends. She had a successful career with Remax Realty, taking pride in connecting families to new homes.
Lois is survived by her sons, Terry (Valerie) Peterson, Ricky (Theresa) Peterson and Dennis (Susan) Peterson; her adored grandchildren, Ryan (Bianca), Courtney, Elizabeth (Jayson), and Ren (Cam). She also leaves behind her beloved siblings, Daniel (Catherine) Hermann, Imelda Thielke, William (Lois) Hermann, Helen (Donald) Macht, Bernadette (Joseph) Palama, and Philip (Diane) Hermann.
In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ralph Peterson; sister, Dolores Thielke and brothers-in-law, Leo Thielke and Virgil Thielke.
In this time of sorrow, we find comfort in the memories she created with us—her infectious laughter, her warm hugs, and her gentle spirit. Lois Ann Peterson will forever be remembered as a beacon of love and joy in our lives.
In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances to Our Lady of the Holy Rosary of Pompeii Catholic Church, 2224 45th St. Kenosha, WI 53140 or Women and Children’s Horizons, 2525 63rd St, Kenosha, WI 53143 https://www.wchkenosha.org/donate/ or to Nifty Thrifty, 4200 39th Ave, Kenosha, WI 53144 would be appreciated.
