Katherine Lytle
March 2, 1959 -
July 3, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Katherine Lytle, who left us peacefully on Friday, July 3, 2026, at the age of 67. She was born on March 2, 1959, to Dale and Hattie (Mattner) Strange. She was a 1978 graduate of Tremper High School.
On November 8, 1980, she married the love of her life, Floyd Raymond Lytle, in Kenosha. Though their time together was far too short before Floyd's passing on December 28, 1985, their family often described them as a match made in heaven. Floyd was deeply loved by the entire family and, as they fondly remember, "he was good to her."
Kathy dedicated many years to serving others through her work. She was employed by WIS International from 2001 until 2021 and later joined the team at Kwik Trip in 2022. Many customers came to know her as the friendly "sample lady," whose welcoming smile and cheerful personality brightened countless days.
Family was the center of Kathy's world. She treasured every opportunity to create lasting memories with those she loved. She enjoyed sewing and crafting, lovingly making Halloween costumes for her children over the years—including a memorable flying monkey costume from The Wizard of Oz. She loved bowling with her grandchildren, spending evenings at the movies, and never passed up the chance to watch favorites like Die Hard or The Wizard of Oz. Wrestling was another passion, and she cheered on favorites including her son Al, The Undertaker, and Kevin Nash.
She was a dedicated member of the Order of the Eastern Star, where she faithfully served in the offices of Grand Warden and Worthy Matron. She was also an active member of the DAV Auxiliary, serving as Past State Commander for the State of Wisconsin and as Junior Vice Commander of Unit 9. Through her leadership and commitment to these organizations, she formed lasting friendships while making a meaningful impact on the lives of fellow veterans and their families.
Kathy had a way of lighting up every room she entered. Her warmth and kindness touched the lives of everyone she met. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer (Will) Sizemore; son, Al (Veronica) Lytle; grandchildren, Aidan and Gavin Branyord, and Luka and Bailee Sizemore; brother, John (Terri) Strange; sisters, Mary (Mark) Roberts, Barb (Larry) Ancona, and Diane (Dennis) Willis; and many loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
In this time of sorrow, we find comfort in knowing that Kathy is at peace. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love, compassion, and unforgettable memories that will continue to inspire us all.
Honors by the Order of the Eastern Star and the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary will take place at 4:00 p.m., followed by a time of sharing.
