It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jeffrey C. Bemus, who left us peacefully on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at the age of 70. Born on October 3, 1954, to Calvin and Barbara (Conlin) Bemus.  Jeffrey was the second youngest of six children.

Jeffrey was a devoted and hard-working man who had a deep love for the Chicago Cubs and a lifelong affection for animals. He enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, especially barbecuing and fishing. Above all, Jeffrey treasured time spent with his family, and he found his greatest joy in being with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his only son, Michael (Charlene) Bemus; his grandson, Jeremiah (Sam) Bemus, and their son, Jasper; as well as his step-grandson, Michael (Amanda) Brown, and their children, Genevieve, Caleb, and Cheyenne. Jeffrey’s great-grandchildren brought him immense pride and joy, and they are grateful for the special memories they shared with him—memories they will hold close to their hearts.  Taken too soon, Jeffrey will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Memorial services honoring Jeffrey’s life will be held privately.
