June 30, 2021

Glenn Dale Diedrich: born September 10th, 1966. He passed on June 30th, 2021 surrounded by loved ones. He is survived by Frank and Rosalie Diedrich (parents), Ashley Diedrich (daughter), Alex Diedrich (son), Ayden Edmondsen (grandson), Susan Geidner (Spouse and adventure partner), Pam Diedrich (former spouse), Laura Gilman (former spouse). He is also survived by his nieces and nephews Melinda and Cody Lee, Stephanie and CJ Noggle, Maggie Costello, and Erich Otto, and by a worldwide community of friends and loved ones.
Glenn was full of life and was always the life of the party. First to arrive, last to leave, and always willing to help. He was a historian, educator, and lifelong learner. He dedicated his life to giving back to others and always saw the best in people.
A true Wisconsin ambassador, he had a strong passion for cheese and the Green Bay Packers. Glenn would take cheese road trips throughout Wisconsin with his children to support the local establishments.
Glenn traveled the world and always sought out adventure. He embraced the culture of every country he traveled to. He would try all the local food and beverages, no matter what it was.
For all that Glenn has done, he continues to remind us to cherish every day and live life to the fullest. Being the philanthropist that he was, donations can be made to the library that he was building in Vietnam at www.childrenslibraryinternational.org.

KEVIN EDDINGTONDear Glenn, Our collective hearts at not only McGraw Hill but across the globe are aching in your loss. You had a light about you and everyone that you touched felt your warmth and contagious spirit for life. I looked up to you for guidance as you were more than a colleague but even better, a dear friend. Our love of education made us coworkers, yet our love of cuisine made us comrades. May the journey you have ahead of you be easy. Rest well, Glenn. Prayers sent your way, to Susan, and to your beautiful family.

Paul OsenTo say Glenn is already deeply missed by his friends and colleagues at McGraw Hill is a complete understatement. Many of us are still in shock several days later after getting the awful news last week. Glenn was smart, fun, and a great friend to all who worked with him. His love of History and Social Studies came through in all of his interactions with customers, prospective customers, and colleagues. I will always remember our discussions about Social Studies, and all of our Wisconsin sports teams. Our deepest condolences go out to his family, and all who knew him best.
