September 26, 2023

Gilbert Bose, Jr. age 84, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 surrounded by his family.
Born on April 19, 1939, he was the son of Gilbert and Mary (Matelski) Bose, Sr. He was a graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School.
On September 26, 1959, he was united in marriage to Marilyn Casson. She preceded him in death on December 22, 2021.
He was a member of Mount Carmel and St. Elizabeth Catholic Church and the former St. Casimir Catholic Church.
Gilbert was a proud U.A.W. member with AMC/Chrysler for 30 years, retiring in 1988.
He enjoyed many outdoor activities which included camping with his young family, hunting and fishing with his friends, Leo, Fred and Gordy. Gilbert loved his trip to Alaska; he also loved to gamble at local casinos and Las Vegas. His knowledge of mechanics in auto repair gave him the ability to help out anyone in need of car repair. He was an avid Green Bay Packer fan, and taught us all to love them, well almost all of us (Cindy).
Those left to remember Gilbert are his children, Barbara Bose, Donna (Gary) Rhey, Tony (Elsa) Bose and Cindy (Greg) Peppers; his grandchildren, Natalie, Latasha, Allissya and Simone; his great-grandchildren, Kevin, Anthony, Kristoffer, Allena, CJ and Allayjah; his great-great- grandchild, Jaiden; his siblings, Ann (Dave) Willems, Margaret (Richard) Jurgens and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents and wife, Gilbert was preceded in death by his sisters, Joann (John) Anderson, Lorraine and his friend, Leo Wendt.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Roberta Hawley, for her compassionate, kind, and loving care provided to Gilbert.
