Edward S. Kovacek passed away on February 1, 2016 at the age of 92 years. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Anna Mae (nee: Cooper), and his brothers and sisters. Loving father of James (Cindy) Kovacek. Proud grandfather of Jen (George) Gilmore and Steven Kovacek. Further survived by sister-in-law, Charlene Hendrickson, and many relatives and friends. Ed proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a retiree from the U.S. Steel Mill, Waukegan, IL.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. with full military honors following at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, 3720 39th Avenue. Interment will be held on Friday, February 5th at 2:30 p.m. in Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville, IL.
