Darles M. Rogowski
November 13, 1936 -
April 26, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Darles M. Rogowski, a beloved mother, friend, and cherished member of the Kenosha community, who left us peacefully on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at the age of 89. She was born on November 13, 1936 to the late Randall and Lucille (Drinkwine) Sorensen. Darles attended Bradford High School.
Darles’ life was a testament to love and family. She was married to the love of her life, John Rogowski, on November 12, 1955, and together, they shared countless cherished moments. As a devoted homemaker, Darles poured her heart into raising her children and later, her grandchildren. She was often found in the kitchen making her famous Rice Krispy Treats or engaging in lively conversations about her favorite soap operas, which she loved discussing on the phone with friends and family.
Her caring nature extended beyond her immediate family. Darles was an active member of St. Casimir Catholic Church and the Croatian Fraternal Union. For many years, she enjoyed gathering with friends at the “Girls Club,” where they would share meals and catch up on life’s happenings. Rummage sales were another passion for Darles, and she and John loved to explore the local scene, including the 7 Mile Fair and various sales around the area.
Darles will be remembered by her children, Cheryl (James) McPhaul, John (Shelley) Rogowski and Kathy (David) Meyer; six grandchildren, Jason, Ryan, Miranda, Natalie, Brennan, and Tyler; two great grandchildren, Zoe and Jaxson.
In addition to her parents, Darles was preceded in death by her husband, John Rogowski; her son, John R. Rogowski; and her granddaughter, Natasha Rutchik.
In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances to Kenosha Forgotten Friends, P. O. Box 831, Kenosha, WI 53141 (https://www.kenoshaforgottenfriends.org/donate) or your favorite charity would be appreciated.
Darles' family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Robin Way Assisted Living, especially Diana, Rachael and Alyssa for their love and exceptional care.
