February 26, 1955 -
November 19, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brock Daniel Spangler, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Brock left this world peacefully on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at the age of 70, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on February 26, 1955, to Helen (Buchner) Tessin in LaCrosse, WI, Brock graduated from Waukegan High School.
On July 11, 1998, at St. Mary's Lutheran Church in Kenosha, he was united in marriage to Julie Smith.
He had a long career working as a Maintenance/Carpenter at Abbott Laboratories in Abbott Park, IL and Waste Treatment Technician at Abbvie Laboratories in North Chicago, IL.
Brock enjoyed woodworking and reading the Bible. His happiest moments were spending time with family and his pets, as well as traveling. He also enjoyed watching football and mixed martial arts, but listening to country and classic rock music was a passion. Reading The Night Before Christmas was a family tradition that he upheld that was very special to him.
Brock is survived by his beloved wife, Julie Spangler; his children, Jarrod, Zachary, Drew (Bri) and Breanne; his grandchildren, Chase Ainsworth and Talan and Hope Spangler; his siblings, Bob (Debbie) Spangler, Ken (Rogelie) Spangler, Gwen (Tom) Williams, Bill (Debbie) Tessin and Dan (Cyndi) Tessin. Brock was a determined man that inspired those around him to chase their dreams, and he leaves behind countless fond memories for those who knew him.
