Rudolph Scuglik

Rudolph F. Scuglik, age 90, passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at Kenosha Brookside Care Center.

Rudy was born on June 12, 1929 in Kenosha, one of seven children to the late Stefan and Pauline (Antala) Scuglik. He attended local schools and graduated from Kenosha High School, Class of 1947. He furthered his education at UW Madison and graduated from the School of Banking in 1969.

On February 2, 1952 in Chicago, Rudy was united in marriage to Dolores Mitchell. They were blessed with three children and cherished 67 years together.

Rudy joined the U.S. Army, serving his country during the Korean Conflict from 1950 until his honorable discharge in 1953.

Rudy had a career span of 40 years at 1st National Bank of Kenosha; serving as President and Chairman of the Board from1987-1994. He was hardworking, kind and trusted by employees and customers. He was dependable, driven and had a strong positive “can do” attitude.

With a noble reputation, Rudy was elected and served on many boards and charitable organizations, too numerous to mention. Most notable positions he held were president of the Kenosha Chamber of Commerce from1989-1990 and President of the Dairyland Charitable Foundation from 1990-1992 and Chairman from 1992-1994.

He was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church and of the American Legion #21. Rudy was devoted to his faith and his family; setting an example of how a man should live.

Left to cherish Rudy’s memory includes his wife, Dolores; his children, Cathy (Spencer) Jury, Thomas Scuglik and John (Darleen) Scuglik; four grandchildren, Erik (Melanie) Hansen, Christina (Dan) Yuska, Kevin (Amy) Hansen, Maureen (Matt) Murawski and great grandchildren, Anna, Molly and Kensi Hansen; Zakary, Alexander and Philip Yuska; Ethan and James Murawski and a Murawski on the way. He is further survived by his brothers, Anthony (Gloria) and William along with many nephews and nieces and their children.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Vilma and his brothers, Joseph, Steve, Jr. and Paul.
