Rosemary Ridolfi

Rosemary Ridolfi

September 18, 1927 - December 15, 2020

Rosemary D. (Herrmann) Ridolfi, age 93, of Kenosha, met her Lord on Tuesday, December 15, 2020, surrounded by her loving family at Froedtert Kenosha Hospital.

Born in Kenosha on September 18, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Clemence and Rosalia (Meissner) Herrmann. A lifelong resident of Kenosha, she graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School in 1946.

As a young woman, she worked at Walgreens as a bookkeeper. There she met August D. Ridolfi, a “soda jerk” at the time. After a couple extra pumps of chocolate in her soda, they started an amazing love affair. Never liking the name August, Rosemary nicknamed him “Curly”. They were married on August 30, 1947, at St. George Catholic Church. They were blessed with five children and celebrated more than 65 years of a successful and loving marriage.

Rosemary was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church and the Italian American Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed golfing, “counting every stroke”, reading, sending holiday cards with a crisp $2 bill to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, crafts, cards, bingo, crocheting, knitting keepsake blankets for each of her grandchildren, volunteering and spending many winters at her ‘doll house’ in Surprise, Arizona. Rosemary was especially fond of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and loved family get-togethers.

She will be deeply missed by her children, Diane Ingalsbe, of Racine, Darlene (William) Slater, of Kenosha, Denise (Vic) Pace, Rick (Robin) Ridolfi and Rock (Audrey) Ridolfi of Pleasant Prairie; 16 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; sister, Ann (George) Mich; and sister-in-law, Ruth Herrmann, Kenosha, together with other loving relatives and friends.

Rosemary was preceded in death by her loving husband on February 20, 2013, her granddaughter Tonja Stratton on November 14, 2020, her parents and three brothers.

Her family would like to recognize the wonderful staff at The Addison in Pleasant Prairie, her doctors, their support staffs and the compassionate staff at Saint Catherine’s ER and on 3 Palmer at Froedtert Kenosha Hospital.
