
Lester Perugini
November 5, 1932 - January 4, 2024
Lester Perugini, age 91, passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2024 surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Kenosha, WI on November 5, 1932 to the late John and Frances (Vite) Perugini. He attended local schools and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School in 1951. He went on to attend additional technical training with Motorola, DeVry and Simplex Corporations.
On October 19, 1957 he was united in marriage to Roberta “Bobbie” Pulera at Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
Lester proudly served his country with the United States Army as a Corporal during the Korean War.
He was a lifelong member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and Holy Name Society.
Lester was employed with the Kenosha Unified School District for 46 years, retiring as the Head Electronic Technician in 1995.
He was a member of the Kenosha Flying Sports Club, Italian American, Roma Lodge, Senior Action Council, Amateur Radio, Somers American Legion and the Moose Lodge. He also volunteered with his wife on an elementary Mini Medic program and went to senior homes to take blood pressure for the residents. Through Holy Rosary, he volunteered annually at the chuck-o-luck festival booth and set-up the sound system for Sports Night.
Lester enjoyed flying, amateur radio, doing electronic repairs and traveling with Betty and Chuck Aiello. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.
He will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Roberta; his children, David and Joan Perugini, and Julie and Chris Halberstadt; his grandchildren, Andrea Perugini, Alyssa Perugini-Ellis and Joe Ellis, Erica and Mike London; his great grandchildren, Aria and Liam London.
Lester was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Emily; his brother, John (Billy); a brother in infancy and nieces, Marian and Susan.
