He served others as a member of St Mary Catholic Church, the Danish Brotherhood and as a past member of the Kenosha Historical Society. Les was a Green Bay Packer fan; especially when they won and he enjoyed coin collecting, gardening, fishing and golfing.

He is survived by his children, Karen (David) Mau of Somers and James (Renee) Gardner of Waupaca; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren with one more on the way; and a sister, Doris Howard of Reno, NV.

Along with his parents and wives, Les was preceded in death by a son, David Gardner; and two sisters, Merle Preslan and Elnora Bielski.

Les’ family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staffs of Bay Harbor Assisted Living and the Grace Hospice Team for the compassionate care that they provided.
