I am sorry to hear about Karen's passing and my sympathies go out to her family. In her job at KUSD, Karen always had a smile on her face and would go out of her way to greet staff as they entered the Special Ed. Office and she sincerely asked how staff was and cared about us. I missed her smile when she retired and was always happy to see her when she came back to fill in for someone who was out for a while.
