Joyce Arlene Mattioli, age 83, passed away on Friday, April 8, 2016 at her daughter’s residence in Winthrop Harbor, IL.

Born on September 7, 1932 in Prairie du Chien, WI, she was the daughter of the late George Wing and Hazel (Eastman) Groenert.  Joyce attended schools in Prairie du Chien, graduating from St. Mary's Academy for Girls.

On September 15, 1951 at St. Gabriel's Church in Prairie du Chien, she was united in marriage to William J. Kreuser.  He preceded her in death. She was later united in marriage to Frank Mattioli on February 6, 1981 at First United Methodist Church.  He preceded her in death on May 25, 1998.

Joyce was employed as an accounting clerk with Jockey International from 1979 - 1995.  She later worked for the Kenosha Unified School District as a bookkeeper from 1996 - 2006.  She proudly retired at the age of 74.

She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

Joyce is survived by her 4 children; William (Diana nee: Pillizzi) Kreuser, Terry (Judy Harris) Kreuser, Bernadine (David Richards) Flores, Christine (Darren Martin) Kreuser ; 9 grandchildren; Dawn (Ryan) Propsom, William (Jennifer Ritacca) Kreuser, Tristen (Dana Mattox) Cairo, Miranda (David) Van Cleve, Janelle (Dustin Heyden) Cairo, Collin ( Jennifer Lee) Cairo, Ashley Kreuser, Nevin Kreuser & Sherman Kreuser : 3 great grandchildren; Talia, Alexandra & Ariana, and her step-son Dennis ( Louise) Mattioli.

Along with her parents and step-father, Roy Groenert, Joyce was preceded in death by a great grandson, Bryce Cairo.
