
Josephine Bjurman
July 26, 1917 - August 21, 2015
Josephine Bjurman, age 98 of Kenosha, passed away on Friday, August 21, 2015 at the Hospice House, Pleasant Prairie.
A lifelong resident of Kenosha, she was born on July 26, 1917, to the late Joseph and Josephine (Horvat) Horvat. Attending local schools and graduating from Kenosha High School, Josephine developed her secretarial skills at the College of Commerce.
She held a head secretary position with Kenosha Unified, serving Bradford High School for 17 years; retiring in 1981.
A member of St. James Catholic Church, Josephine was active with the Catholic Woman’s Club.
Josephine is survived by her four children, John (Nancy) Bjurman of Princeton, MN, JoAnn (George) Omohundro of Fredricksburg, VA, James (Janine) Bjurman of Bonn Germany and Corrales, NM and Gerald (Ann) Bjurman of Chicago, IL. She is further survived by her seven grandchildren; her eleven great grandchildren along with her sisters-in-law, Betty and Ruth Horvat and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents and husband, Eric, Josephine was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph and George Horvat and a sister, Elsie Ribar.
