Born on July 8, 1936, in South Carolina, Jane’s life was one filled with love, generosity, and unwavering dedication to her family and faith. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life – painting alongside the teachings of Bob Ross, manicuring her yard with her Toro TimeCutter Zero-Turn mower, tending to her apple orchard, and enjoying outings to Golden Corral and Old Country Buffet with her husband, Boyce.
A nurse by profession, Jane’s compassion and caring nature touched the lives of many patients during her time at Kenosha Memorial Hospital. She was known for her generosity, often gifting her finds from shopping trips to loved ones.
Jane’s devotion extended beyond her family and career; she was a faithful member of the Church of Christ and lived her life in accordance with her beliefs. Known for her proper demeanor and kindness, Jane was a shining example of love and grace.
Jane’s memory will live on in the hearts of her daughters, Linda (Daniel) Ollila and Debra Smith; grandchildren, David Metzger, Jennifer Lawler, Daniel (Amelia) Ollila, Christopher Ollila, Stephen Smith; great-grandchildren, Madison and Taylor Lawler, Chase M.L. Lachman, Holden and Wyatt Ollila, and Maci and Molli Smith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Boyce Bacus; son, David Bacus; son-in law, Randal Smith; grandsons, Jeffery Smith and Michael Ollila; granddaughter, Christina Bacus-Ollila; and great-granddaughter, Kenzie Smith.
Jane’s family will be gathering privately to celebrate and cherish her legacy and the memories of a life well-lived.
Interment will take place in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
