I had the privilege of coaching Greg in 1979 and 1980 on two State Championship Football Teams at Tremper. He was such a nice young man but tougher than nails. I had the greater privilege of working with Greg when he coached with us on the 1987-1989 football teams. What a wonderful, selfless, young man. He wanted to "give back" to Tremper for all that he had received. He worked very hard, was extremely knowledgeable, and had a great rapport with the kids. It was a pleasure working with him and I know he worked at least one season as a volunteer--working as hard and as many hours as everyone else but accepting no salary. Greg remained a good friend through the years. Last February he came to a small gathering of former players. It was a great time. He committed to coming in the future so we would see each other at least once a year. I will miss Greg and especially at those gatherings when I know he would have been there. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. What a life well lived for the benefit of others. God Bless You, Greg. Rest in peace knowing what an impact you made in this life. Ron Davies
