Grace Brown, age 82, passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2023 at Aurora Medical Center Mt. Pleasant, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Vina AL., on January 20, 1941 she was the daughter of the late E. Arlen and Reva (Horton) Collum.  She attended local schools and graduated from Vina High School.

On August 20, 1960 in Prentiss Co., MS Grace was united in marriage to Alvie L. Brown. Sadly, he preceded her in death.

Grace belonged to the Church of Christ in Waukegan, IL. She was very active in her church.

She was devoted to spending time with her family. Grace enjoyed gardening, floral arranging, sewing, cooking, and baking.  Grace loved dogs and bird watching, especially cardinals.

Grace will be missed by her children, Kathryn (Lawrence) Adams, Janet (Jeffrey) Gascoigne and Gerald (Jodie) Brown; her grandchildren, Michael C. Adams, Hannah K. Adams, Connor A. Brown and Chloe L. Brown; her siblings, Howard Collum and Arlen Collum; her sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and many nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents and husband, Alvie, Grace was preceded in death by her in-laws, Villard L. and N. Alline Brown and her brothers, J. Forby Collum, E. Clinton Collum, H. Gene Collum and Teamon W. Collum.
