Doris Marlene Olson, age 82, of Kenosha, passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2017 at Columbia-St. Mary’s Hospital, surrounded by family.

Born in Emmettsville, IA on January 25, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Margaret (Olsson) Jespersen.  She was a graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School.

On March 7, 1953 in Kenosha, she was united in marriage to Gordon Olson.

Doris’ greatest gift in life was being a homemaker for her family.  She took great pride in raising her five daughters and two nieces, Cathy Brtzius and Evie (Brian) Anderson.  Nothing could compare to the love she had for her family.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Gordon Olson; her five daughters, Pamela (Stephen) Robers, April Dinges, Penny (Kim) Fonk, Ailene Kreier and Laura (Tim) Baumgarten; fifteen grandchildren and twenty five great grandchildren.

She is further survived by her brothers, Jay and Peter Jespersen; and her sister, Carol Turner.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Donald (Jess) Jespersen; and a grandson, Timothy G. Olson.
