Anthony Albano

June 26, 1955 - May 2, 2024

Anthony Paul Albano, age 68, passed away peacefully in New York on May 2, 2024.

Born on June 26, 1955, he was the son of the late Louis F. and Mary C. (Saliture) Albano.  He attended and received a degree from The Culinary School of the Arts.

Anthony lived and worked in Kenosha, Madison, Milwaukee and New York.  He was a chef in several amazing restaurants in WI, including The Pfister and Maders between 1976 and 1982.  Anthony served as Chef and Manager of a food stand in government institutions.  He worked in advertising from 1983-1986, then returned to the culinary field. His final role was that of Culinary Educator for visually impaired students until 1998.

Anthony lived in New York for the last 40 years, enjoying the food and music culture of the Big Apple.  He loved Broadway Musical Theater, The Grateful Dead and various ethnic foods.  Anthony served as a food critic and Culinary Educator.  He was a connoisseur of music and talk radio.

Anthony was a very spiritual man and was extremely rich in friendships that lasted a lifetime.  His friends spanned the country and once you were connected you were part of his friendship family.  This family was a priority for him and this bond was proven when he needed them most.

Anthony is survived by his sister, Karen (Mark) Jambrek and niece, Amy Jambrek.

Anthony is preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Mary Albano; his grandparents, Antonio and Concetta (Amato) Albano and Santo and Clara (Misurelli) Salture as well as many dear relatives and friends.

A special thank you to Marianne, John, Bob, Beamer and Ralph for all of their dedicated efforts.
