Shannon M. Carlson
August 11, 1975 -
February 4, 2026

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Shannon Carlson, on Wednesday, February 4, 2026. Born on August 11, 1975, to Carol Brooks and the late Chuck Carlson. Shannon was a man of immense intellect and an even greater heart.
A graduate of Bradford High School, Shannon continued his education through UW-Parkside and The Police Academy. He was known by all for his incredible character and rare soul. He was a smart and capable man, who cared deeply.
Shannon loved to converse and put his brain to use any chance he got- whether it being a friendly "debate" for the fun of it or connecting over his favorite films and actors. He was also a dedicated football fan, always cheering for The Green Bay Packers and oddly, The Atlanta Falcons.
Over the years, Shannon was a father-figure and role model for many, offering inspiring words and a hand to anyone in need. He was both considerate and hilariously sarcastic; he had a way of caring for others that was both conscious and quiet, never seeking credit for the ways he would step in to help.
Shannon is survived by his children with Stacey Tallman, Mikayla Carlson (Hunter Proft), Grant Carlson, and his children with Teneille Carlson (Curtin) Roman Carlson, step-daughter Rylee Joy Brady, all of Kenosha.
He leaves behind a large, loving family; including his siblings born of Shirley Carlson (his other loving mother) and his late father Chuck, Shereen Woods, Charles O. "Charlie" Carlson II, Rachel Buckner, Jacyln Spears, David Carlson, Steven Carlson, Emily Lolley, and his sisters of Carol Brooks; Kathleen Carlson-Powell, Shonda Robb and Tiffany Auld. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Ainsley Proft and Jasper Proft.
He was preceded in death by his father, Chuck O. Carlson, his grandparents, Oliver and Jeannette Carlson and Ernst and Lydia Jung.
In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances to Mikayla Carlson or Grant Carlson would be appreciated.

February 10, 2026A few years ago, I worked at Take 5 with him he was definitely a fun boss to have always had jokes lightened up the room that’s for sure. I was going through a pretty dark time back then he gave me some pretty good advice then recently I ran into him at Frank elementary where my daughter goes. It was nice seeing him again. This caught me off guard by a long shot. Rest in peace Shannon.
