
Bethel “Beth” Krahn

Bethel (Beth) Krahn, age 91, passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2025.
Born in Bristol, Wisconsin on November 22, 1934, Beth was the daughter of the late Leo and Anna Belle (Powell) Gillmore. She attended Wilmot High School for three years and went on to graduate as valedictorian of Salem Central High School's first graduating class in 1953.
On May 14, 1955, Beth was united in marriage to Richard Krahn. Together, they shared a remarkable 70 years raising a loving family, traveling to 49 states and 50 countries, and creating a lifetime of memories.
Beth worked at Standard Products, the Leblanc Corporation, and retired from Kenosha Unified School District in 1997 after serving as a Special Education Assistant for 28 years.
Beth is survived by her cherished husband, Richard and her devoted daughters and sons-in-law; Sandra and Timon Costello and Laurie and John Tierney. She is also remembered by her seven adored grandchildren; Dr. Bethany Costello, Jennifer (Kenneth) Loades, Richard (Ashley) Krahn, John Tierney Jr., Eric Costello, Dr. Gregory (Bailey) Krahn, and Anne (Curtis) Vind, as well as seven great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her great joy.
Beth is further survived by her brother, Wayne (Thelma) Gillmore; sister-in-law, Carol Gillmore; dear family friend, William Benson, and many other wonderful friends and relatives.
Along with her parents, Beth was preceded in death by her beloved son, Ronald Krahn; her sister, Leona Krahn, and her brother, Leslie Gillmore.
Beth will be laid to rest in a private ceremony.

Even though we seldom managed to get together in recent years, I cherish those times we shared together.
Bethel was a fun classmate and I’ll miss visiting with her.
