August 27, 2025

Lucille Lynn Morton-Anderson, 78, of Kenosha, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on February 14, 1947, to Elmer K. Morton and Leola L. Woodward-Morton, Lucille lived a life defined by love, devotion, and kindness. Growing up in Kenosha, she shared an unbreakable bond with her siblings, creating a lifetime of cherished memories alongside her four brothers — John, Elmer K. Jr., James, and Ken— and her sisters, Barb and Ann.
Lucille dedicated decades of her life to her career in management at Kmart, where she was admired for her unwavering work ethic, natural leadership, and the kindness she showed to coworkers and customers alike. She was someone who led by example — hardworking, compassionate, and always ready to lend a hand.
In 1989, Lucille met the love of her life, Kenneth “Dale” Anderson. The two shared a beautiful romance and were married on Valentine’s Day — a fitting celebration of their deep and enduring love.
Family was Lucille’s greatest source of pride and joy. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Sherry (Rick) Gedgaudas; her sons, Anthony Pontillo Jr. and Scott Pontillo; her siblings, Barb, Ken, and Elmer Jr. Her heart belonged to her cherished grandchildren: Alex, Joe, Colin, Sam, Sophie, Annie, Nate, Gabby, Georgia, Logan, Simon, Zack, Charlie, JJ, Salomon and great grandchildren, Dani and Jovie. She will also be fondly remembered by her extended family, and the many friends whose lives she touched throughout the years.
She was preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Leola; her loving husband, Dale and her siblings, John, James, and Ann.
Lucille’s warmth, laughter, and unconditional love left a lasting mark on everyone she met. Her presence brightened every room, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know and love her.
A Celebration of life will be announced by the family at a later date.
