Addison D. McBride
May 11, 2010 -
August 25, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Addison D. McBride, a beloved daughter, granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend. Addison left us far too soon on Monday, August 25, 2025, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched. Born on May 11, 2010, to Daniel McBride and Kristy Murphy, she was a vibrant and shining young girl, whose laughter, kindness and adventurous spirit inspired everyone around her.
She loved cheering on the Chicago Cubs, playing with her pets, and—most of all—spending time with her boyfriend, family, and friends. Singing brought her joy, as did school—especially her acting class and the teacher who inspired her. She adored the beach, long drives with her mama, and anything involving water or nature. Addison had a special gift for making people smile with her spontaneous dances and never-ending Roblox stories. She truly lit up every room she entered.
Addison’s untimely departure has left a profound void in her family and community. She is survived by her father, Daniel McBride; her mother, Kristy Murphy; her nana, Debbie Murphy; her boyfriend, Josh Pierce, her auntie, Shannon; her grandparents, Thomas and Sharon McBride, her godmother, Shelly Rudy and many loved family and friends.
In honor of Addison’s beautiful spirit, friends and family are invited to share stories, laughter and tears, as we remember the wonderful girl who touched our lives.
Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we find comfort in knowing that Addison’s light will continue to shine through all of us. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will forever live on in the memories we hold dear.

August 30, 2025I met Addie in 6th grade. She was in my homeroom class and we sat together. From there, we hit it off. She was one of the nicest people you could ever meet. Always smiling and helping others. She helped me come out of my shell in middle school and continue to be more open in high school. She will be missed by everyone. I love you Addie and miss you.

August 30, 2025I still member the first day I met Addi she had no where to sit in English so I offered her the seat next to me about a month later we were laughing so hard in the back of class the teacher would always ask us what's going on. He was the one who gave me the nickname but Addi always used it.

August 28, 2025My dearest prayers and love goes out to Addie’s family and friends. I went to school with Addie’s for 4 years and those 4 years were some of the best! Every room she walked into she was a bright light that nobody could shut off. This girl has the best laugh and cutest smile. I had the ability to work with Addie in theatre and choir. Matilda was great show and she was a rockstar in it. Choir was always fun and if you didn’t know, this girl could sing! I wish I had more time to grow with Addie and become stronger friends but I will never take the time I had with her for granted. May her family be filled with comfort and wisdom for the situation they’re in. Lots of prayers for you all!
I love you Addie!

August 28, 2025I met Addi in 8th grade we weren’t friends at the time but she had the sweetest spirit. She ended up becoming one of my best friends in freshmen year and we were inseparable she was so kind and lit up a room when she walked in. We did Matilda together. She loved that musical so much. She came in rehearsal always smiling. We were supposed to do Cinderella together, solo and ensemble and be jesters for feast. Saving a song for you Addi. Love you forever and always.

August 28, 2025I met Addi about two years ago when I joined the play and she has been one of my closest friends since. She was one of the nicest and most friendly people I have ever met and I wish that she could have had a longer life and achieve her goals, whatever they may have been. I am very grateful that I got to be her friend and I give her parents my deepest condolences. I hope that wherever you are now, Addi, Know that we all miss you.

August 28, 2025I met Addi 11 years ago and during that time I learned a lot about her; she was always ready to face the world with a smile, she never backed down from a challenge, and she would do everything she can to make sure everyone felt loved and supported. She made so many jokes, some were funny, some weren’t but I didn’t matter because he laugh was contagious and no matter how stupid it was everyone ended up laughing. She will be truly missed but I am so glad I got to be apart of her life. I love you Addi and can’t wait to see you again.

August 28, 2025Addi was one of the best friends I have ever had and it brings me to tears knowing that she’s gone. I remember back when the Matilda play was happening, we attended auditions together and cracked jokes out of nervousness, if it had not been for her support, I don’t think I would have had the confidence to go out and do what I loved. Addi meant so much to not only me but to all the families and friends that she blessed with her presence and her impact on our lives will continue on for years and years to come.
