It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mattie Hall on Thursday, July 31, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. Born May 8, 1945, to Robert Armour and Mary Fisher, Mattie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister and friend.
On February 1, 1964, she married Tom A. Hall and they shared 61 years of lifelong memories. Mattie is survived by her beloved husband, Tom; son, Vince Hall; daughter, Synthia Hall-Jones; grandchildren, Kamara Hall, Kadiara Gustaveson, and D’Vaughn Mann-Hall and four great grandsons. She is further survived by her brothers, Garney Armour, Jackie Armour, James Armour, Tony Armour and Herman Armour; her sisters, Mary Lee Flowers, and Minnie Clay. Mattie’s warmth and kindness touched the lives of many, and her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered by her many friends, family and church family. May she rest in peace.
In addition to her parents, Mattie was preceded in death by her brothers, Ben Armour, Robert Armour, Jr., Gary Armour and William Armour.
