Marilyn Elaine McNabb
October 16, 1931 -
November 1, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, Marilyn Elaine McNabb, who left us on Sunday, November 1, 2026, at the age of 95. She was born on October 16, 1931, to the late Henry and Stephanie (Unger) Sublisky. Marilyn was a graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School. She left behind a lifetime of memories and the love of family and friends who were fortunate enough to know her.
Born and raised in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Marilyn built a beautiful life with her husband, Thomas McNabb. Together, they shared 73 years of marriage, raising five children and building a family and a wonderful partnership that stood the test of time. Their life together was a testament to commitment, companionship, and enduring love. Thomas preceded her in death, and we can take comfort in knowing that they're together once again.
Marilyn was a woman who lived life on her own terms. Feisty, strong-willed, and never afraid to speak her mind, she had a personality all her own. She knew what she wanted, wasn't easily swayed, and brought a special spark to every room she entered.
Marilyn was also, without question, one of the bravest people we knew. Later in life, she lost her vision, facing a tremendous challenge with courage and strength that inspired those around her. Even as life presented her with obstacles, she continued to show the determination and independent spirit that had always been such a big part of who she was. She never lost the fire that made her Marilyn.
Marilyn is survived by her children, Tom III (Chris), Scott (Edna), Rick (Carolyn) and Sue. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, their partners, 17 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and close friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Tom, daughter Kathy and grandson Michael.
She was one of a kind. Her feisty nature, strong opinions, courage, and unmistakable personality made her unforgettable. She was deeply loved by so many, and her presence brought something special to the lives of everyone lucky enough to know her.
At 95 years, Marilyn leaves behind a legacy of strength, courage, love, family, and countless memories that will be treasured for generations. She showed us that bravery comes in many forms, that a strong spirit can carry us through life's hardest challenges, and that being yourself is something to be celebrated.
She was loved more than words can say. She will be missed more than she could ever have known, and she will never be forgotten.
in lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances to Vision Forward Association, 10150 W. National Ave, Ste. 100, West Allis, WI 53227 (https://vision-forward.org/donate/) would be appreciated.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at the Waters of Oak Creek and St. Croix Hospice Care for their compassionate and exceptional care.
Rest peacefully, Mom. We hope you're reunited with Dad, Kathy, Michael and all those who left before you, catching up, sharing stories, and having a wonderful time together. We hope you're having as much fun up there as you brought to all of us down here. Keep that feisty spirit. You were truly one of a kind, and you will forever be loved.
