October 2, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Barbara Kiesner, age 71, who passed away peacefully on Friday, October 2, 2026, in Kenosha, Wisconsin. She was born on February 9, 1955, in Forrest City, Arkansas, to the late Martin and Isabell Free. Barbara later moved to Kenosha, where she graduated from Bradford High School.
Barbara was united in marriage to Robert Kiesner on September 20, 1975, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Kenosha. Together, they shared 51 years of marriage, building a life filled with love, family, and countless cherished memories. Barbara and Robert were blessed with two sons, Robert Jr. and Joshua.
Barbara dedicated her working years to several local employers, including MacWhyte, St. Joseph’s Villa, and Lincoln Middle School.
Family was the heart of Barbara’s life. She treasured every moment spent with her husband, children, and grandchildren and especially enjoyed making memories with her grandchildren. She loved taking them out to eat, going shopping, and simply spending time together. She took great pride in her home and had a special talent for decorating it for every holiday, creating a warm and welcoming place for her family.
Barbara also loved planting flowers, especially marigolds and geraniums, and she could often be found enjoying the beauty they brought to her home. She had a beautiful collection of pins that she enjoyed wearing and was known for the special touch they added to her outfits. Some of her fondest memories were made during camping trips to Mauthe Lake when her sons were young and family trips to Wisconsin Dells. These were the moments she cherished most—being together and making memories that would last a lifetime.
Barbara will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Robert Kiesner; her sons, Robert (Lisa) Kiesner Jr. and Joshua (Megan) Kiesner; her brother, Ronald (Darlene) Free; her sister, Patricia Ann Miller and her grandchildren, Emily, Jacob, Caleb, and Isabelle Kiesner. She will be remembered for her love of family, her caring heart, and the many little ways she made holidays, family gatherings, and everyday moments special.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Isabell Free; twin sisters, Judy and Jane Free.
The service and entombment for Mrs. Barbara Kiesner will be held privately in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.

October 6, 2026I was so sorry to hear of Barb's passing. We were in classes together at Washington Jr. High and she was always fun to be around, especially in gym class when we always complained about our baggy, blue gym suits. Barb had a great smile and was a very kind person to all around her. Condolences to her loving family from Barb's classmate of so many years ago.
