September 7, 2026

Frank Jeffries was born on June 29, 1928, in Greensboro, Alabama, to Mathew and Katie (Sharper) Jeffries. Frank was employed by International Harvester for many years. He was very passionate about what he did, and he was proud of what he achieved while working there.
He enjoyed playing Cribbage. He was a lifelong Cubs fan, and he tried to watch every single game. He loved watching the Chicago Bears and Chicago Bulls games. He also enjoyed watching boxing. He loved having a clean car as long as some of his kids were doing it. Cigars were what he told his children kept him going until the age of 98.
He loved his grandchildren and his family greatly. He was known to spoil the grandchildren. He was very gentle with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Words cannot express the love he held for his family. He also had a special place in his heart for his Second Baptist Church family.
He is survived by his children, Leon Jeffries Sr., Brenda Jeffries, Abe (Shirley) Pickens, Michael (Peggy) Jeffries, Dennis (Patricia) Jeffries, and Howard Jeffries; his siblings, Juanita (Henry) Hampton and Elnora (Bob) Nesbitt; his grandchildren, Leon Jeffries Jr. (Aisha), Tamika (Karl) Brooks, Susie (Julian) Estes, Austin Jeffries, Tyler Jeffries, Sky Jeffries, Howard Jeffries Jr., Frank Jeffries, Summer Jeffries and Lamar Jeffries; his great grandchildren and host of many other relatives and friends.
