It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marjorie Harmon, who left us on Monday, August 24, 2026, at the age of 85. She was born on October 2, 1940, to the late Lawrence and Eleanor (Mankey) Harmon. She was born again in the washing or rebirth and renewal in the waters of Holy Baptism on October 27, 1940, at St. Johns Lutheran Church Ridgeville Corners, Ohio. That faith which was given her by our Lord Jesus Christ was confirmed on May 2, 1954, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Napoleon, Ohio. She continued steadfast in that faith throughout her life, being a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Kenosha for over 60 years.  Marge was a graduate of Napoleon High School and earned her bachelor’s degree in education from Bowling Green State University.

She was employed with Kenosha Unified School District for over 50 years. Marge served her neighbors and community in many ways; she was a member of PEO, volunteered at many places, including Kemper Center as a Master Gardener, Meals on Wheels, and she was always working for her church family and planting flowers or pulling weeds, displaying a reflection of Christ’s love in her constant acts of service.

Marge was known for many different things, but the thing she will always and eternally be known for is the salvation that is hers in Jesus Christ, our Lord.  We loved her at Messiah as the sometimes cantankerous, but always loving and serving sister in Christ that she was.  Losing her in this life is truly losing a part of our church home, but we rejoice with all the saints in heaven and on earth that she has been welcomed into eternal life, as our Lord Jesus Christ said to her “Welcome Home, Margie! Well done, thou good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of your Lord.”

Marge is survived by her brother, Ronald of Malvern, PA, one niece, and three nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
