Beverly “Bev” Jane Oechler
October 12, 1929 -
August 10, 2026

Beverly “Bev” Jane Oechler, age 96, went to meet her Lord on Monday, August 10, 2026, at Primrose Senior Care Facility, surrounded by her loving family.
Bev was born on October 12, 1929, in Kenosha, the daughter of the late William and Ella (Zuehlsdorf) Rover. She grew up in Kenosha, attended local schools, and went on to train as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Kenosha Memorial Hospital.
On August 11, 1951, Bev was united in marriage to Marvin Oechler, in Kenosha. Together, they built a loving family and shared 71 wonderful years before his passing.
Bev worked as an LPN at Kenosha Memorial Hospital and also in San Antonio, Texas, while Marv served in the Air Force. Much of her professional career was spent as an LPN and therapy aide at Jane Vernon School in Kenosha. Whether she was working outside the home or spending her days as a “stay-at-home mom,” Bev was a fiercely devoted mother who always put her family first. Her family was her greatest pride and joy, and she was happiest when she was surrounded by the people she loved.
Bev spent most of her life in Kenosha, but she and Marv also enjoyed wintering in Leesburg, Florida, for 21 years. She was an active and involved member of her community, participating in her children’s activities, various church committees and ladies’ circles, and serving for many years as a Girl Scout leader.
Bev had many things she loved. She loved college football (“On Wisconsin!”) She cheered for the Packers and was a Die-Hard Cubs fan. But above all, Bev’s greatest loves were her faith, her family, and her friends. She lived her life with a strong faith in the Lord, and an unwavering devotion to those she loved.
Bev will be dearly missed by her children, Marva (Jon) Tetting, Lorrie (David) Laurin, Jody (Joel) Petersen, Joel (Jackie Sazama) Oechler, and Mark (Stacy) Oechler; her grandchildren, Erin (Michael) Middleton, Ericka (Kyle) Anderson, Kyle (Monica) Tetting, Sarah (Brandon) Jones, Michael (Carrie Lutterman) Laurin, Ashley (Mark) Harriman, Andrew (Ashley) Petersen, Connor (Rebecca) Petersen, Alayna Petersen, Joel Jr. Oechler, Heidi (Joe) Malsack, Jaxson Gray, Jacob (Nathalia) Oechler, Lauren (Vasily) Giannakopoulas, and Alexander Oechler; and her 33 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Marvin; her brothers, Roy Rover, Howard Rover, and Norman Rover; her sisters, Marilyn Yance and Lois Hawkins; and her daughter-in-law, Lisa Oechler.
In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 8760 37th Ave, Kenosha, WI 53142 or Heartland Hospice, 1143 Warwick Way, Ste B, Mt. Pleasant, WI 53406 would be appreciated.
