Stanley Jurasewicz, age 92 of Kenosha, died peacefully on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at Parkside Manor.
Born in Kenosha on August 13, 1923, he was the son of the late Matthew J. and Isabelle (Lubneski) Jurasewicz.
From April 1, 1943 until his honorable discharge on December 20, 1945, he honorably served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Stanley was a proud recipient of the Purple Heart.
On May 3, 1952 he was united in marriage to Elizabeth Eichler. Sadly, she preceded him in death on July 8, 1961. On October 16, 1976 at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, he was united in marriage to Alice Ruffalo.
For 42 years Stanley was employed as a machinist with Tri-Clover.
Stanley was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church and the Holy Name Society. He was also a member of Roma Lodge in Racine.
He loved the outdoors and enjoyed landscaping, hunting, fishing, wreath making and woodworking.
Stanley is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Alice Jurasewicz; his three children, Michael (Carla), Steven (Diane) and Ann Jurasewicz; his two grandsons, Timothy and Matthew (Kelly Gerkhardt) Jurasewicz; his sister, Helen VanLone; his special nephew, Lee (Amy Johnson) Robin; his special niece, Lisa (John) Bennett; and many other loving nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, Elizabeth, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Harriett Hoye, Lottie Jurasewicz and Anita Robin.
The family would like to thank, Society’s Assets, Season’s Hospice and the staff of Parkside Manor; especially, Angel L. for the compassionate care they provided.
Service Info
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 6, 2015 beginning with a prayer service at 9:45 a.m. from the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, 3720 39th Avenue. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 2224 45th Street. Interment with full military honors will follow in St. George Cemetery.

Waller's Pond, button mushrooms, Polish Sausage and freshly ground horseradish (with maybe a little piece of spatula), "I teach you guys everything I know and you still don't know anything!", a passion for Stainless Steel, love for his family - both close and extended, beautiful wreaths, proud of his service to his country, always in a pick-up truck with some great times sitting between me and Steve heading to the Wisconsin River, and that is just the short list! All of this was accompanied by that same smile that is pictured in the attached photo. I am a much better person for having had Stan in my life. Thanks Stosh!
