Jean C. Tenuta

Jean C. (née- Heidersdorf) Tenuta, died on March 5, 2018 at her home.
Born on February 24, 1929, in Paris, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Bertha (Drissel) Heidersdorf. A lifelong resident of Kenosha, she attended local schools and graduated from Kenosha High School in 1946.
On May 6, 1950, she married George H. Tenuta at St. John's Catholic Church in Paris, Wisconsin. They were married until the time of his death in July, 1988.
Jean was employed by the Kenosha Unified School District for many years until her retirement in 1997.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She was an avid traveler, having visited all seven continents and about 100 different countries. Her other hobbies included golfing, reading foreign-language detective novels, and watercolor painting.
Surviving Jean are two sons, Bradley F. and Daniel M. (Barbara) Tenuta, both of Kenosha; three daughters, Lisa (Joseph Krupp) Tenuta of Nogales, AZ., Lauren (David ) Estano of Green Bay, WI. and Leslie (Robert) Mitchell, of Kenosha; eight grandchildren, Benjamin and Gianna Tenuta, both of Kenosha, Addison (Justin) Feltz of New Berlin, WI., Ian Estano of Anchorage, Alaska, Hayden, Trenton, Maison and Zion Estano, all of Green Bay, WI., one great-grandson, Myles Feltz of New Berlin, WI.; a sister, Audrey Rust of Anchorage, Alaska, and a brother, Sidney Heidersdorf of Juneau, Alaska.
In addition to her parents and husband, George, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Arlene Gahart and Vivian Wagner and one brother, William Heidersdorf.
Jean will be greatly missed by her family, friends and members of the community.
Service Info
Funeral Services honoring Jean’s life will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 Noon at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 7400 Block of 39th Avenue. Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Paris, WI.
