Ingrid M. TiegelI was so sorry to hear of Nip's passing. As a long term recently retired Carthage faculty member, I can truly say that Nip served Carthage and the Kenosha community well. The position of Dean of Students is incredibly challenging and as both a professional and a kind man, Nip had the requisite skills to meet the needs of both students and the college community at large. Nip also had a judicious and wonderful sense of humor - great and essential for someone managing a multiplicity of positions with very diverse responsibilities. I hope Nip's children will take comfort that Nip had such an important and productive long life with so many years of service to others.

Jim KennedyI knew Nip during his years as Dean of Students at Carthage. In that role, he was ever diligent, fair-minded, loyal and caring. The welfare of the student was always uppermost in his mind. His manner was very professional, but always pleasant and civil. I always had high regard for him as a colleague. May he rest in peace.
