Susan Kay (Dodge) Neises, age 68, passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022 in Waukegan, IL.
Born on December 22, 1953 in Kenosha, WI, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Audrey (Erschen) Dodge. Susan graduated from Bradford High School in 1971 in Kenosha, WI.
On July 16, 1973, she was united in marriage with the love of her life Randall Neises.
Susan worked in Environmental Services for St. Catherine’s Hospital for 35 years.
Susan was a devoted wife and a very loving mother. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Throughout her life she has mothered and given advice to many people who have come into her life. She loved helping others and was a good listener. Susan enjoyed nature. She loved working in her flower garden and feeding the wild birds and squirrels in the neighborhood. In her free time, you could find her enjoying crafting and sewing. Her door was always open for friends and family to stop in for a cup of coffee. Sue loved Sunday dinners with her children and grandchildren, it was a time for good conversations and catching up on their lives.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Randall; her daughters, Tarrah Neises and Dana (Gabriel) Garcia; her grandchildren, Addison Neises, Austin Neises, Haisley Garcia; her brother, Michael (Sandy) Dodge; a very good friend Pamela Ver Haag; and a special niece Angie Cook; Nick Taylor, the son she never had; Lukas Juliano; and her beloved dog, Miley.
Service Info
Memorial services honoring Susan’s life will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. at the Piasecki Funeral Home.
A gathering of relatives and friends will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Due to public health concerns, and in compliance with CDC guidelines, those in attendance are required to wear a face covering. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this difficult time.
Memorial remembrances may be made to Safe Harbor Humane Society, 7811 60th Ave, Kenosha, WI 53142 would be appreciated by the family.

Cathy BrnakSorry to hear of Sue's passing. The Neises family lived on 13th Avenue, next door to my grandma, Laura Sopscic. .Sue was a good friend to my grandma . I also remember running into Sue at St.Catherine,s many years later. She had a special way of connecting with people.

Teresa Stine EllsworthDear Sue, How I'm going to miss your Christmas cards every year. You and Randy helped me through allot of bad times. I missed you so much when I moved to Mississippi. If it wasn't for You and Randy, I probably wouldn't be here today. You both made my feel better than family. You have brought great joy in my life. Lots of laughter. Fly high my sweet friend. We will meet on that beautiful shore. We have allot to talk about. I love you!!
