Charles C. Nelson Sr., age 77 passed away at Ascension All Saints on Monday April 11, 2022.
Born in Chicago, Il on July 9, 1944, he was the son of Clifford and Edna (Privia) Nelson.
From 1961 until 1964, Charles proudly served in the United States Air Force.
In January 1995, he was united in marriage to Lula Ann Springer
Charles was employed as a Sheet Metal Worker Local 73 in Chicago. He then was a City of Chicago Inspector until his retirement.
He will be dearly missed by his two children, Charles (Michelle) Nelson Jr. and Jennifer (David) King; four grandchildren, Nicole Nelson, Ryan (Vanessa), Kelsey and Alex King; three great grandchildren Everleigh Nelson-Devries and Zoey and Zelda King; two sisters Sann Nelson and Debra Dahley, stepson, Lawrence Springer and his cat ‘Crazy Cat’.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents, wife Lula Ann Nelson and sister Barbara Nelson.

Lawrence SpringerOh my God I miss you Charlie, to the family I didn't believe he was passed but now that I see this I know it is I've been missing so much I'm crying right now I miss Mom too and all my family I pray to God I get to see you soon it's a reality check that he's passed, after being locked up for 13 years. I miss him so bad (I'm sobbing now!), please forgive me I didn't make it out in time for them to see me!

I'll try to do better, both of you would want me to do better. Forgive me God, I know you're taking care of him, please let him know that I love them and I will try to do my best to make you and them proud. Oh lord I can't stop crying I miss them so much.
