April 28, 2026

Janice Claire Ebener (née Senical), age 92, was born on July 1, 1933, in Marquette, Michigan, to Clifford Senical and Mary Ellen Stickney. She grew up in Kenosha, Wisconsin, where she developed the vibrant spirit and sharp wit that would define her life.
Janice was the perfect blend of sass and class-known to many as a "party girl" who enjoyed a good martini and even better company. She had a way of lighting up a room with her humor, confidence, and unmistakable charm.
Before dedicating herself fully to her family as a loving wife and mother, Janice worked at Warwick, Jockey, and Simmons, contributing to the war effort by making parachutes during the Korean War. On June 6, 1952, she married the love of her life, Gilbert Ebener, in Missouri. Together, they built a life centered on family, laughter, and enduring love.
Janice found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved gardening, boating, reading romance novels, bird watching, storm watching, and, most of all, spending time with her family. Her presence was a constant source of warmth, strength, and spirited conversation.
She is survived by her children: Michele (Frank Booker), Michael (Alice), and Mark (Leslie) Ebener; her grandchildren: Nicholas (Stephanie) Sexauer, Danielle (Brian Fenkl), Megan, Melissa (Ben Jensen), Mariah, Michael Jr. (Holly), and Bradley (Kelly) Ebener; and her great-grandchildren: Ramiro Valente-Melendez, Natalia Jaramillo, David and Ryne Jensen, and Denver, Savannah, and Eve Ebener.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Gilbert Ebener; her brother, John Senical; and her cherished dog, Martini.

May 1, 2026Why were our conversations with Auntie Jan always so captivating? We never needed a TV or radio. Just the vibrant story telling of Auntie Jan who filled any room she was in with vibrant personality. Her stories confirmed the bigger than life characters of our families with a sense that we are made of a special fabric. She will be missed and never duplicated. Much Love! The Senical's
