US Veteran
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Patrick Robert Ryan, a beloved husband, father and grandfather, who left us peacefully on Friday, August 15, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on July 16, 1943, in Appleton, Wisconsin to Edward and Romaine (Hill) Ryan, Pat lived a life filled with love, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to his family and community.
On July 25, 1981, he was united in marriage to Lynda Williams Funk at St. Mary's Lutheran Church.
A proud veteran, he served as a First Lieutenant in the Army, instilling values of dedication and service that resonated throughout his life. Pat dedicated many years to his career as an H.R. manager at Snap-On Tools in Kenosha, retiring in 2003. He later served as a bailiff with Kenosha County.
Pat loved to travel, experiencing new places and cultures alongside his beloved wife, Lynda. He also traveled with friends to enjoy their shared love for golfing, Indy racing, and Packer games. He was an active member and held leadership positions, including President, of the Kenosha Evening Lions, where he participated in many service activities to give back to the local community. Pat was a member of St. Mary's Lutheran Church of Kenosha and served as Youth Advisor and on the Call Committee.
He championed for his children's and grandchildren's activities, attending countless events and celebrating their achievements in every endeavor.
Pat is survived by his loving wife, Lynda Ryan; his children, Sean Ryan, Naomi (Tim) Padjen and Sunhi Ryan-Schussler (Steve); and six grandchildren Kassi (Luke), Mya, Alyssa, Gilli, Brandon, and Addison.

August 20, 2025I have known Pat as a bailiff in Kenosha County Circuit Court for Commissioner John Plous. I was honored that Pat wanted to remain with me as a bailiff when I became the Commissioner in that court. Pat was a wonderful person to work with and get to know. I admired his wisdom and thoughtfulness. Sue and I are not in Kenosha tomorrow or we would be able to join you. Know our prayers are with you all.
