Born in Kenosha, WI to Richard and Helen (Jensen) Roskres, he attended Roosevelt Elementary, Gilbert S. Lance Jr. High and George N. Tremper High School. After graduation, he attended Gateway Technical college graduating with a degree in Robotics.
His work history included McDonald’s, Kenosha Beef, American Motors, MedTech Ambulance, KEPES Inc., and Daimler Chrysler. He retired in 2008.
In January of 1980 he married Diane M. Kaiser. They later divorced but remained good friends.
On April 21, 1994, his son Drew Roskres was born. He was a devoted father to Drew and cherished the milestones in his life.
Paul was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Kenosha, WI. Paul was devoted to his church: was a member of the bowling team, dedicated volunteer with the Good Box distribution team with a partnership with the Shalom Center, a member of the Property Committee and provided tech services for the church services and other church functions. He was cherished by both the congregational staff and members for his compassion, technical abilities and mechanical ability to repair and maintain the property. Paul traveled to Guatemala with Dr. Hayes to assist at a mission village where he assisted doctors with ultrasounds for pregnant women. When the machine broke down, it was Paul who repaired the electrical issue for the doctors to complete their work. This was just one of the many acts of kindness that Paul performed for his friends, family, church and his community.
Paul loved life. He was adventurous and was proud to let his family know of his conquests: Skydiving, Polar Bear plunges, bike races and his devotion to running with his dear friend Dave Jordan. Paul & Dave traveled to northern Wisconsin and participated in a 50k run together. This is one of the many races they shared together as friends and companions. Everyone who knew him knows that he was a man who helped everyone. A jack of all trades with a heart of gold. He had a love for classic cars that he shared with his childhood friend, Augie Dahl. He shared countless volunteer hours at the Shalom Center with his good friend, Leo Mendez. He will be sadly missed and loved all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Roskres in January 2005, his brother, Thomas Roskres in February 2007, father, Richard Roskres in March 2018, niece, Carin Domerchie, and an infant brother Glen A. Roskres at infancy.
He is survived by his son, Drew Roskres; Drew’s mother, Kim Engle; step-sons, Ryan and Chris (Madeline) Engle; brother, Martin (Ella) Roskres and nephews, Benjamin and Erik Roskres; sister, Julie Roskres; sister-in-law, Jill Roskres and nephews, T.J. (Tina) Roskres, Kevin, Ryan (Heather), and Cory Roskres, niece, Heather Roskres, and nephew-in-law, Mark Domerchie; former sister-in-law, Melodie Roskres, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
