Michael Josua “Josh” Ventura, age 32, of Mount Pleasant, passed away following injuries sustained in an accident while on duty as a Salem Police Officer.

Born in Evanston, IL on July 10, 1983, he was the son of Michael R. and Michelle (Simon) Ventura.  Educated in Illinois, he came to the Kenosha are in 2010.  Michael was a graduate of the Gateway Technical Law Enforcement Academy on May 27, 2016 and was immediately hired by the Town of Salem Public Safety.

On May 3, 2014, Michael was united in marriage to Margaret Kolodij at Strawberry Creek.

He will be deeply missed by his wife, Maggie; his parents, Michael and Michelle Ventura; paternal grandfather, Vincent Ventura; maternal grandparents, Noel (Marianne) Simon and Ferne Swidler; numerous relatives, friends and his extended law enforcement family.
