Marjorie, in the zig zag sweater, with the Kupper family at Christmas time. June Kupper was the daughter of Ingerborg and Boyd Wise of Hillside, Illinois, who had taken Marjorie in after her mother passed in the mid 1940s and her father was unable to take care of her, her older brother and younger sister. The Kupper family took her in when the Wises passed away, both, in 1967. She would later find a home at Shepherds Home, for the developmental challenged in Racine, Wisconsin, Marjorie was born with fetal alcohol syndrome.
