In a heartwarming journey marked by numerous visits, training classes, and the achievement of four prestigious AKC titles, something truly special has taken root at Piasecki Funeral Home in Kenosha, Wisconsin. It’s a story of dedication, trust, and the unconditional love of a four-legged friend. We are overjoyed to announce that our very own Martin Clark’s Mildred, affectionately known as K9 Millie, has officially become a Certified Therapy Dog!

We are eternally grateful for the support we’ve received on this journey, and we wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to Antoinette Rodriguez and the dedicated team at Rettungs-Haus Shepherds Inc. Their belief in our dream to bring something extraordinary to the families we serve and to our wider community, by means of a therapy dog, has been instrumental in this achievement.

K9 Millie’s journey to becoming Kenosha’s first and only funeral home therapy dog has only just begun. With her Certified Canine Good Citizen (CGC), Canine Good Citizen Advanced (CGCA), and Canine Good Citizen Urban (CGCU) titles proudly displayed, she is ready to embark on her true calling – offering comfort, companionship, and unconditional love to those who need it most.

The Power of a Therapy Dog:

The healing power of animals is an age-old testament to the bond between humans and their furry companions. The presence of a therapy dog like K9 Millie can bring solace, happiness, and emotional support during difficult times. At Piasecki Funeral Home, we understand the profound impact that losing a loved one can have on individuals and families. Our commitment to providing compassionate care extends beyond our professional services to encompass the well-being of our community.

K9 Millie’s role as a therapy dog is multifaceted. She will visit individuals and families in our community who may be in need of emotional support, particularly during times of grief or stress. Her gentle demeanor and wagging tail can brighten even the darkest of days. K9 Millie will also be available for visits to local healthcare facilities, schools, and community events, spreading joy and comfort wherever she goes.

The inspiration for sharing this unique kind of love began with Piasecki Funeral Home’s Partner and Funeral Director, Matt Martin, as he exhibited steadfast dedication to K9 Millie’s training and development. It is truly a testament to the love he has for his canine companion and the desire to share that love with the world. K9 Millie’s journey from a spirited pup to a Certified Therapy Dog is a heartwarming example of the power of perseverance and a deep bond between human and canine.

As we embark on this new chapter with K9 Millie, we invite our community to share in the joy and warmth she brings. Follow her adventures on our social media channels, where we will keep you updated on her visits and the lives she touches.

Piasecki Funeral Home is honored to introduce Kenosha’s very own K9 Millie, a Certified Therapy Dog dedicated to bringing comfort, love, and healing to our community. We are excited about the positive impact she will have on those she encounters and look forward to sharing the journey ahead with all of you.
