Judy Louise Schaffer went into the arms of God on March 23, 2025. Born on July 22, 1949, in Kenosha to Viggo and Emma (Walz) Schaffer. Judy’s early years were spent on her parents’ farm where she enjoyed the baby calves and kittens.
Judy attended Woodworth Grade School and graduated from Central High School, Salem, WI. She was a 4H member where she learned and excelled in her sewing skills. During her free time, she crafted and was an exceptional painter of brick characters.
After high school, Judy received her nursing degree from UW-Milwaukee. She worked in hospitals in Racine, Kenosha and Great Lakes Naval Base. She had a knack for bringing laughter and comfort to patients, making each day just a bit brighter with her warm heart and caring nature. She was a member of the Kenosha Moose Chapter #155.
Judy is survived by her beloved siblings, JoAnn Schaffer, Susan Schaffer and Robert Schaffer, who are grateful for the many cherished memories they created together.
Service Date April 12, 2025
SERVICE LOCATION Funeraria Piasecki
A gathering of relatives and friends honoring Judy will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the Piasecki Funeral Home.
Funeral services and honors by the Wisconsin Nurses Honor Guard will be held at 12:00 p.m. on April 12, 2025.
Inurnment will follow privately at Green Ridge Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances to Moose Lodge Chapter #155, 3003 30th Avenue, Kenosha, WI 53144 or a charity of your choice in her honor would be appreciated.

abril 10, 2025I’m so sorry for your loss. Judy was a great neighbor and friend when we lived on 55th Ave. she was so talented with all of the crafts she did. She even painted an alien spaceship on our daughter’s bedroom wall! I’m sure she’ll be greatly missed.
