Veterano de EE.UU.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of William Thomas Mooney, who passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at the age of 57. Born on March 26, 1968, to Thomas and Violet (Adams) Mooney, he was a graduate of Lake City High School. Bill was a loving husband to his wife, Jennifer, beloved father to his son, Devin, and a cherished friend to many. His unwavering spirit and crazy sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
On July 6,1991, he was united in marriage to Jennifer Lewis.
As a proud veteran of the Navy, Bill served his country with honor and dedication. He had a heart of gold, always ready to lend a helping hand or share a kind word. Those who knew him will forever remember his stories, his warmth, his loyalty, and the way he made everyone feel like family.
Bill began his military career as a Navy diver and later transitioned to nursing. He was employed many years with United Hospital System as an ER nurse. Bill also trained nurses in CPR, ACLS and with many other levels of certification.
As an Assistant Boy Scoutmaster, Bill shared countless joyous moments camping and exploring the great outdoors with his son, Devin. The family cherished many outdoor adventures together, including hunting, fishing, SCUBA diving excursions, and thrilling 4-wheeling and snowmobiling escapades, particularly in the beautiful landscapes of Michigan.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Mooney; son, Devin Mooney; mother, Violet Mooney; and sisters, Linda (Brian) Cooper and Christine (Mark) Fraley.
Bill was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Mooney.

septiembre 17, 2025I worked with Bill at Kenosha ER for many years. I remember him as a good nurse. But most of my memories were our innumerable little chit-chats on the side (totally unrelated to work) that we had almost every shift. I really enjoyed his stories, especially of his Navy days. My prayers to his family and friends.

septiembre 17, 2025To all who loved & knew Bill: my sincere condolences. I worked with Bill in the Kenosha ER. He was a good teacher and a good nurse to his patients.. I’d like to think he probably taught me a thing or two and contributed to who I am today as a care provider. While your grief over this loss is heavy and heartbreaking, may you find comfort in your memories.
